There are many options and types of dry bedding for reptiles. We prefer using Corse-Sani Chips for our Western Hognose. The Coarse Sani-Chips are hard to find at expos with many vendors only carrying the regular Sani-Chips. P.J. Murphy's Coarse Sani-Chips
We have tried and used many smart plugs over the years from individual, block, or strip style with many different apps. We personally prefer using the BN-Link Smart Power Strip that comes with six plugs. We have found the setup and use to be extremely user friendly and haven't had any issues with these.
We have found having a low profile light that takes mini halogen bulbs to be the most efficient overhead lighting for our multiple reptile setups where we do not keep the lighting mounted inside rather ontop.
